This was the 49th Match IPL 2013, Mumbai Indians won the toss and were elected to bat first at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. MI batted first and set the target of 140 runs after losing 5 wickets for CSK to chase. Captain Rohit Sharma scored the most runs for his team, he scored 39* runs in 30 balls with a strike rate of 130.00.

Chennai Super Kings got all out at just a low score of 79 runs in 15.2 overs, they lost all their 10 wickets and lost the match by 60 runs. This became one of the CSK lowest scores in IPL History.

However, Chennai Super Kings is the second most successful team in the Indian Premier League with four IPL trophies under MS Dhoni’s captaincy.

CSK 97 All Out vs Mumbai Indians

In the 59th Match in IPL 2022 at Wankhede Stadium, CSK was invited by the Mumbai Indians to bat first. CSK’s batting order did not go well and they all out at just a score of 97 runs in 16 overs. Captain MS Dhoni scored the most runs from CSK’s side, he scored 36 runs in 33 balls.

No one else scored 20+ runs from the side, except MS Dhoni. In response, Mumbai Indians chased the target after losing 5 wickets in 14.65 overs. Tilak Verma scored 34 runs in 32 balls, he went not out in that match.

This was the second-lowest score by CSK in IPL History.

The third-lowest score by CSK came against Rajasthan Royals in the 24th match of IPL 2008. CSK won the toss and decided to bat first, they scored just 109 runs in 19 overs after losing all their wickets.

Albie Morkel scored the most runs in that match, he scored 42 runs in 33 balls with a strike rate of 127.27 and Suresh Raina 27 runs in 27 balls. With these two small innings, CSK reached 109 in 19 overs after losing all their wickets.

In the second innings, Delhi Daredevils chased the target in 13.2 overs after losing just 2 wickets. Kevin Pietersen scored the most runs from DD’s side, he scored 43 runs in 26 balls with a strike rate of 165.38 and Virender Sehwag 33 runs in 21 balls.

Delhi Daredevils won that match by 8 wickets and 40 balls remaining.

Chennai Super King had one of their lowest team score against RCB in the 46th match in IPL 2008, RCB won the toss and elected to bat first and they set the target of 126 runs after losing 8 wickets. Captain Rahul Dravid scored the most runs; 47 runs in 39 balls with a strike rate of 120.51.

In response, CSK was only able to reach 112 after losing their 8 wickets in 20 overs. Stephen Fleming scored the most runs for CSK, he scored 45 runs in 40 balls, and no one else scored 30+ runs for the CSK side.

Chennai lost the match by 14 runs in that match, this was one of CSK’s lowest scores in IPL history.
