Australia Schedule for T20 World Cup 2022: Australia is the host of the T20 World Cup 2022 which is scheduled to be held on October 2022, the first round of the tournament will start on 16 October.
Eight teams Namibia, Netherlands, Scotland, Sri Lanka, West Indies, Ireland, UAE and Zimbabwe will compete with each other to confirm their spot in Super 12. India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Australia, England, South Africa, Bangladesh and New Zealand are already in the Super 12 stage of the tournament.
Australia is the defending champions and the host of this year’s World Cup. In the T20 World Cup 2021, Australia defeated New Zealand by 8 wickets and named their first T20 World Cup trophy.
This year, Australia will play their first match against New Zealand on 22 October in SCG, Sydney. This match will be played at Sydney Cricket Ground.

Australia is in Group 1 in Super 12 along with England, Afghanistan, New Zealand and two other teams from the first round of the tournament.
Australia will play a warm-up match against India before the actual games starting on 22 October.

Before this World Cup, Australia has a scheduled tour of India where they will play 3 T20I series. This will be a great chance for both teams to get prepared for the T20 World Cup.
The first match of this series will be played on 20 September at Punjab Cricket Association Stadium in Mohali, Punjab. And the other two matches will be on 23 and 25 September.
