Highest Partnership In ODI: West Indies players — Chris Gayle and Marlon Samuels hold the record for the highest partnership in one-day internationals that came in the 15th match of the Cricket World Cup 2015. They both contributed 372 runs together for their team against Zimbabwe in 2015.
West Indies batted first and opened with Dwayne Smith and Chris Gayle but Dwayne Smith went back to the pavilion at Zero runs, he got bowled by Tinashe Panyangara in the first over. Then Marlon Samuels came to bat, they both scored 372 runs together and went not out in that match.
Chris Gayle made a double-century, he scored 215* runs in 147 balls. His inning includes 16 sixes and 10 fours with a strike rate of 146.26. Whereas Marlon Samuels made a century, he scored 133 runs in 156 balls with a strike rate of 85.26, his inning includes 3 sixes and 11 hours.
With the help of this partnership, West Indies was able to set the giant total of 372 runs after losing just one wicket on the board for Zimbabwe to chase.
