ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 Schedule, Teams, Venue, Points Table: The 8th edition of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup is commencing from 16 October 2022 to 13 November 2022 in Australia.
In the 7th edition of the T20 World Cup series which was held in Dubai, Australia defeated New Zealand in the final match by 7 wickets and picked up their first T20 World Cup trophy.
This year, Australia is the host of the T20 World Cup and would be defending their title with India, Pakistan, New Zealand, South Africa and a few more.
After their disappointing failure in the Asia Cup 2022 where they failed to reach the final, Team India is looking to show excellent performance in the World Cup series. India’s squad for T20 World Cup 2022 has already been announced, Jasprit Bumrah & Harshal Patel’s return gave some strength to the Indian bowling side.
India, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Bangladesh and England are the eight teams which are already qualified for the Super 12. Whereas, Sri Lanka, West Indies, Scotland, Zimbabwe, Ireland, UAE, Netherlands and Namibia will play in the qualifier round to gain their spot in Super 12.
The top four teams from the qualifiers will get their slot confirmed in the Super 12.

T20 World Cup 2022 Groups
The first round of the tournament, which is the qualifier round where 8 teams, Namibia, Sri Lanka, West Indies, Scotland, UAE, Zimbabwe and Netherlands will fight to confirm their spot in the T20 World Cup 2022 Super 12 teams.
First round teams are divided into two groups, Group A & Group B.
First Round Group A Teams: Namibia, Netherlands, Sri Lanka and United Arab Emirates.
First Round Group B Teams: Ireland, Scotland, West Indies and Zimbabwe.
There are 8 teams already who have their spot confirmed in the Super 12 round of the T20 World Cup 2022, these teams are Afghanistan, Australia, Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, New Zealand, England and South Africa. There will be four more teams in the Super 12, these teams would be who finished at the top in both groups from the Qualifier round.
