Ind vs Aus 2nd T20I: After working hard on the wet pitch, the ground staff finally made the ground playable, it was not a T20 match which was played today but an 8 overs match could be possible instead.

Australia gave a target of 91 to India, Rohit Sharma’s excellent knock of 46* runs in just 20 balls, with the help of 4 sixes and 4 fours. This inning was worth the wait that the audience did for the match to start due to the wet pitch conditions.

Rohit Sharma’s inning not only helped India to win the 2nd T20 Match against Australia but also break down Martin Guptil’s record of most sixes in the T20 internationals. Before this match, Rohit Sharma and Martin Guptil were on an equal level with 172 sixes.

In 2nd T20 Ind vs Aus at VCA Stadium — Due to wet pitch conditions, the match couldn’t be as the normal 20-overs match as it should be. But because of the hard work of the ground staff, we were finally able to see at least some cricket, instead of 20 overs — today’s match becomes 8 overs match.

Rohit Sharma (Ind) won the toss and invited Kangaroos to bat first. Australia scored 90 runs in 8 Overs and asked the Indians to chase the 91 runs in 8 overs.

Rohit Sharma started by smashing the first over of the Match. He scored back-to-back 2 sixes in the first over and KL Rahul smashed a six on the leg side in the first over, bowled by Hazlewood. Josh spent a total of 20 runs in the first over of his spell.

Rohit is Most Runs Scorer In T20s

By the help of 4 sixes, Rohit becomes the batter with the most sixes in the T20 internationals in the world. Before this match, he was on an equal level with Martin Gupitl with 172 sixes.

Along with the most sixes, Rohit Sharma also leads the chart of most runs scorers in the T20 internationals. He surpassed Martin Guptil early this year and become the most runs scorer in T20Is.

Rohit and Team India are prepared for the T20 World Cup 2022 which will be played in Australia from October 16. India will play their first match against their biggest rival Pakistan.

India is all set to name their 2nd T20 World Cup trophy after 15 years, the last time this was under MS Dhoni Captaincy in 2007.
