Adidas India has become the official kit sponsor for the Indian Cricket Team, following the signing of a five-year contract with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). The agreement, finalized in May, grants Adidas the rights to manufacture and supply cricket kits for all formats of the Indian team. Killer Jeans, the previous kit sponsor for Team India, concluded their contract on May 31st, paving the way for Adidas to take charge of supplying the team with its kit and other essentials. While reports suggest that the BCCI has entered into a five-year deal with Adidas until 2028, estimated to be worth around 350 crores rupees, BCCI Secretary Jay Shah has chosen not to disclose the exact amount, citing confidentiality.
