IPL 2008 Points Table & Teams Ranking: The first-ever season of the Indian Premier League won by the Rajasthan Royals under the captaincy of Shane Warne. The franchise won 11 matches out of a total of 14 matches played by the team. RR earned 22 points and hold the first position in the points table.
Rajasthan Royals qualified for the playoffs along with teams; Chennai Super Kings, Delhi Daredevils and Kings XI Punjab.
They made their position in the finals by defeating Delhi Daredevils by 105 runs in Semi-finals first at Wankhede Stadium.
In the final, they faced Chennai Super Kings led by MS Dhoni at DY Patil Stadium. Rajasthan Royals defeated Chennai Super Kings by 3 wickets and won the first IPL Trophy.
