IPL 2014 Points Table & Team Rankings: Kolkata Knight Riders was the winner of the IPL 2014 season, they finished the league stage in the second position. KKR won 9 matches out of the total 14 games played by the franchise.
Kolkata won their first IPL trophy in IPL 2012 season, and Mumbai Indians was the defending champions of this season. Mumbai Indians won their first trophy in 2012 under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma.
KKR defeated Kings XI Punjab in Qualifier 1 by 28 runs in Eden Gardens, Kolkata and became the first time to get entry into IPL 2014 final. Then KXIP defeated CSK by 24 runs at Wankhede Stadium and got the entry to the final to again complete with KKR.
In the final match, Kolkata Knight Riders won by 3 wickets against Kings XI Punjab at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium and won their second IPL trophy.
