Vivo IPL 2017 Points Table & Team Standings: IPL 2017 was won by the Mumbai Indians, this was the third trophy won by the most successful IPL franchise owned by Reliable Industries. MI won 10 matches out of 14 total matches played by the franchise.
This was the season when the Chennai and Rajasthan franchise was not part of the tournament because of two years of ban from the IPL. MS Dhoni was played by Rising Pune Supergiants who faced Mumbai Indians in the IPL 2017 final at Hyderabad.
MS Dhoni was not the captain of RPS, Steve Smith led the franchise through that season. Mumbai Indians defeated RPS by 1 run and won the trophy in the final match.
A total of eight teams participated in the IPL 2017 season, CSK and RR were not there because of 2 years ban. So two new teams were there; Rising Pune Supergiants led by Steve Smith and Gujarat Lions led by Suresh Raina.
