Ruturaj Gaikwad most runs in IPL 2021 orange cap holder

IPL 2021 Orange Cap | Most Runs In IPL 2021: Indian uncapped player Ruturaj Gaikwad made the most runs in IPL 2021, he scored 635 runs in 466 balls faced in a total of 16 innings played by him throughout the season. His batting average was 45.35 runs per match in Indian Premier League 2021.

In IPL 2021, Gaikwad scored 4 half-centuries and 1 century, his best inning was 101 runs not out in 60 balls against Rajasthan Royals in the 47th Match IPL 2021.

This was the season where CSK won their fourth IPL trophy, CSK’s Ruturaj Gaikwad and Faf Du Plessis played brilliantly throughout this season. Faf du Plessis was just two runs behind Ruturaj Gaikwad in the race of IPL 2021 Orange Cap. He scored 633 runs in 458 balls faced, in 16 innings.

His best inning came against Kolkata Knight Riders where he scored 95* runs in 60 balls with a strike rate of 158.33 in the IPL 2021 15th Match.

Both openers of CSK played exceptionally brilliantly in the IPL 2021 season which eventually made their franchise lift the trophy.

KL Rahul from Punjab Kings is in the third position as the leading runs scorer in IPL 2021. Rahul scored 626 runs in 451 balls faced through the season with a strike rate of 138.80. His batting average was 62.6 runs per match in the season 2021. He was also the most sixes hitter batsman in IPL 2021.

But his brilliant performance couldn’t make his team’s way to the playoffs, they finished the season in the 6th position on IPL 2021 points table. This was the last season of KL Rahul from PBKS, he left the franchise after the 2021 season.

In IPL 2022, KL Rahul was appointed as the captain of the new franchise; Lucknow Super Giants. Under his captaincy, LSG performed well and qualified for the playoffs. But couldn’t make their way to the finals, they lost to Royal Challengers Bangalore by 14 runs in the 1st Eliminator match of IPL 2022.
