Most Runs In IPL 2020 | Orange Cap In IPL 2020: The Indian Premier League (IPL) is one of the most popular T20 cricket leagues in the world. In the 2020 edition of the IPL, the most run scorer was KL Rahul, the captain of the Kings XI Punjab team. Rahul had an outstanding tournament, scoring 670 runs in 14 matches, at an average of 55.83 and a strike rate of 129.34.
KL Rahul’s performance in IPL 2020 was nothing short of spectacular. He scored five fifties and one century in the tournament, with his highest score being an unbeaten 132* against the Royal Challengers Bangalore. He was the mainstay of the Kings XI Punjab batting lineup and played a crucial role in their success in the tournament.
Rahul’s batting was a treat to watch as he played with elegance and class. He mixed aggression with finesse and was equally comfortable against pace and spin. He scored runs all around the ground, with his cover drives and flicks off the pads being particularly impressive. He was also a master of the paddle sweep, using it to great effect against the spinners.
Apart from his batting, Rahul also captained the Kings XI Punjab team exceptionally well. He led from the front, setting an example with his performances on the field. He was calm under pressure and made some smart decisions, especially in the close games.
Talking about the second position, Shikhar Dhawan from Delhi Capitals scored 618 runs in 17 matches. He came very close to KL Rahul but couldn’t cross his numbers in IPL 2020. Shikhar made 618 runs with a strike rate of 144.73 and a batting average of 44.14 runs per match.
Shikar’s best inning came against Kings XI Punjab, he scored 106 runs unbeatable in 61 runs with a strike rate of 173.77. But even after his excellent inning, DC lost by 5 wickets against KXIP.
