KL Rahul and Kyle Mayers opened the innings for LSG and got off to a good start, scoring 39 and 51 runs respectively. However, the middle order failed to capitalize on the start and the team lost wickets at regular intervals, ending up with a total of 154 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in their 20 overs.
In response, the Rajasthan Royals got off to a good start with Yashasvi Jaiswal and Jos Buttler scoring 44 and 40 runs respectively.
