RR Playing 11 Against Delhi Capitals: Rajasthan Royals lost their previous game against Punjab Kings by a very close margin of 5 runs at Barsapara Stadium, Guwahati. But they are still looking as stronger as they were in the IPL 2023. Rajasthan Royals was the runner-up of the IPL 2022 season, they lost by 7 wickets in the IPL 2022 final match against Gujarat Titans at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad.

Rajasthan Royals will play their third match against Delhi Capitals at their home ground Barsapara Cricket Stadium which is RR’s second home ground in the IPL 2023 season.

Rajasthan Royals won their first match against Sunrisers Hyderabad with a good margin of 72 runs and their second match loss won’t trouble them much as they reached so close but lost by 5 runs. RR’s batting lineup is looking great, top orders batsmen such as Y Jaiswal, Jos Buttler and captain Sanju Samson himself have shown great form in the first two matches and will surely want to continue this further.

Delhi Capitals will be looking to win this match at any cost, as they lost their first two matches of IPL 2023 and currently standing in the 8th position in IPL 2023 points table. On the other side, RR will also leave no stone unturned to win this match and continue climbing up in the points teams.

Jos Buttler might be missing today’s match against Delhi Capitals so Devdutt Padikkal will open the inning along with Yashasvi Jaiswal. Padikkal used to open from Royal Challengers Bangalore but in Rajasthan, he is struggling to score big runs in the middle order.

On the other side, Yashasvi Jaiswal is playing great as an opener so far this season. He scored 54 runs in 37 balls with a strike rate of 145.95. His inning includes 9 fours and zero sixes against Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Middle Order: Sanju Samson (c & wk), Joe Root, Riyan Parag, Shimron Hetmyer

Sanju Samson, the captain himself comes to bat at the third position to provide his team with some stability. He scored a half-century (55 off 32 balls) in the first match against Sunrisers Hyderabad. And score 42 runs in 25 balls against Punjab Kings in the second match.

Joe Root is likely to replace injured Jos Buttler and he will bat in the middle order because team management has decided to promote Devdutt Padikal in the batting order, he will open along with Jaiswal in today’s match. Root’s excellent performances in ILT20 made him enter the IPL 2023, he scored 214 runs in just five innings.

Riyan Parag scored 20 runs in 12 balls in the first match against Sunrisers Hyderabad. He will be played in the middle order in today’s match as in the previous match RR played. Shimron Hetmyer will come to bat after Riyan Parag but his batting order may be promoted according to the situation. He has the capability to hit big sixes and score runs with a high strike rate.

Jason Holder took two wickets in the first match against Punjab Kings. He has the capability to contribute to the team with the bat and ball but did not show his skills with the bat for his franchise so far in the tournament.

Bowlers: Trent Boult, Yuzvendra Chahal, Kuldeep Sen

Trent Bould comes with the experience of bowling in tough situations and he proved himself the best-experienced bowler for Rajasthan Royals. Yuzvenda Chahal was the top wickets taker in the IPL 2023 season, he got the purple cap the previous season.
