India Squad For ICC ODI World Cup 2023: India is going to play their opening match against Australia on 8 Oct at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai. Indian Squad has been finally confirmed for the Cricket World Cup 2023. Some players have made their come-back after a long injury and some have continued their confirmed spot in the 15-member team.
A total of 10 teams will be participating in the tournament that includes, India (host), Pakistan, Australia, Netherlands, England, New Zealand, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan. Netherlands and Sri Lanka joined later after winning the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 Qualifier Round.
This is the 13th edition of the 50-overs Cricket World Cup which is the first time being hosted by India entirely. England is the defending champions because they won the World Cup 2019 after defeating New Zealand.
There will be a total of 48 matches in the tournament, the first match will be between the defending champions England vs New Zealand at Narendra Modi Stadium. The format of the tournament will be round-robin like the previous edition.

Indian Squad for World Cup 2023 is almost the same as Asia Cup 2023 squad but with a few names changed such as Prasidh Krishna is not part of the 15-member World Cup team but he was available in the Asia Cup squad.
